Premier Lacrosse League is a professional lacrosse league founded in 2019 by brothers Paul and Mike Rabil.
The league has eight teams located in Boston, San Diego, Charlotte, Maryland, Philadelphia, New York City, Salt Lake City, and Denver. The league hosts games at teams’ home stadiums and across the country in a tour-based model and also employs social media to engage with players and fans. PLL launched its inaugural season in the summer of 2019 and completed a merger with its direct competitor, Major League Lacrosse (MLL) in 2020. The league has drawn national media attention, boasting high profile investors such as Joe Tsai, The Raine Group, and Fortress Investment Group. Sponsors include Adidas, Capital One, and Gatorade, and all-star rosters with some of the most notable names in men’s lacrosse. PLL has a media partnership with NBC.
